I found a nice size lobster, looked to be about 2 to 3 pounds in a lava tube on my dive last week and killed me cause it would have bin an easy grap... oh well I am going to back for him next week.

Anyone lobster hunt here on Kona side big island?

If I am correct it is for the next four months. Any month ending in an R like September,October, November, December :D

As where to find them it depends on your area... I find allot in holes and lava tubes during tha day. At night they come out and walk around on the bottom a little more so it all depends on when you want to go. Its harder to catch them at night I think cause they can swim allot faster than you and if the spot you comming they are off.

Anyways the best way to learn where they are and how to catch them is to go with some one in your area that does it and learn from them

Good luck and happy hunting :D

Blew Diver called it. Anything with an "R" in it. The DAR rules list it as being closed May-August.
